Ancient Places - Derinkuyu Tunnels

Derinkuyu Tunnels:

In 1963, during a house renovation in the town of Derinkuyu in Turkey, a passage way was discovered, leading to a huge complex of tunnels running 85 meters deep under the city, this was a breathtaking discovery to every arqueologist at  the time. Experts say that this complex is thousands of years old, it has ventilation shafts, bringing air to even the deepest of levels. There was even evidence of religious centers, store rooms and even stables for life stock. Derinkuyu could in fact harbinger 20.000 thousand man, woman, and children.

“Derinkuyu would have been a massive undertaking for everyone even in modern times with modern equipment. But in those days it would had been stupendous (…) equal to the pyramids. ”, say John Brandenburg, Engineer.

In Derinkuyu, because of the softness of the stones, they had to be very careful, to prevent cave-ins, surprisingly there is no evidence of any cave-ins in these tunnels. Apparently they were extremely cleaver, and know their material they were working with, don’t forget we are talking deep antiquity, as far as we know they only used ancient tools to build and shape the rocks, but it would take forever to construct something like this.

  Who built these tunnels??

Some of both the archaeologists and the ancient astronaut theorists say that these tunnels were built by the Archaemedid Empire, also known by Persians, who were direct descendents of the Sumerians.
One curious fact about the Persians, it’s their religion, the Zoroastrianism, it is based on opposing forces of good and evil, much similar with the stories in the Bible. This religion was founded around 2000-1000 B.C; its roots come from much older times, the times of the Sumerians.

The Zoroastrian supreme God is Ahura Mazda, the Creator. And it his sacred books it says that Ahura Mazda saves Mankind from a worldwide environmental catastrophe, much like the story of Noah and the Flood.

The “Sky God” (referred in the holy books) Ahura Mazda spoke to the people to build these huge underground refuge.
Is there a reason to believe that Derinkuyu tunnels are these underground refuges that are described in the Zoroastrian holy books?

Some say that the answer lies in tunnels security system. Scholars found that these tunnels had rolling stones that could only be opened and closed from the inside of the caves. Making it believe that the people were hiding from someone or something.

According to the Zoroastrian mythology, Ahura Mazda crossed the sky in a divine chariot, and waged war against his eternal enemy - Angra Mainyu. Could this really be a depiction of two extra terrestrial forces battling over control of Earth, and its resources?
The people of Derinkuyu must have built these tunnels to escape de destruction and even possible aerial bombardments from the warring factions. Note that, if you were flying in an air plane near Derinkuyu, you couldn’t see the air shafts of the possible caves entrances, they would be too small to see.

v       This description is really similar, of when the Sumerian Gods (Annunaki) left the Earth, causing chaos all over the region, and even caused an in-fight between them.
v       This description is also very similar to the Armageddon, in the Biblical Stories, between the forces of the Heavens- God (good), and the forces of Destruction- Satan (evil).

During recorded history many people did refuge in these caves, escaping from the Roman Legionaries and barbarians groups. But, as ancient astronaut believers say, if an army at foot or mounted in horses passes through the land they could see the air shafts and small entrances, so, these tunnels were built to hide from a different enemy. Not to hide from any armies or raiders as some skeptics say, but to hide from aircrafts that passed at high speeds along the sky.
